Supported Independent Living (SIL)

We believe participants want to live as independently as possible. NDIS also shares this opinion and thus provides Supported Independent Living (SIL) funding so they can find the right service to help with daily tasks. Participants can also access NDIS Government Funding and Eligibility to ensure they receive the right level of support.

Community Access/Out-of-Home Care

CDSS helps participants get out and about to participate in social activities, and sports, or to catch up with friends and family. Our staff can assist people in joining a wide range of activities and community events, ensuring NDIS travel support for community activities is available for those requiring transport options for wheelchair users under NDIS.

Transport

CDSS manages all the requirements for participants requiring NDIS transport services in Melbourne, including transport to and from NDIS-funded supports, medical appointments, SIL activities, school drop-offs, and pickups. As a trusted NDIS transport provider, we take the worry out of participant transport needs by ensuring clients get to appointments on time. We offer door-to-door transport for people with disabilities.

Giving Support to Carers Through Respite Care for Participants

CDSS can support participants who require respite care, including short-term, temporary, and emergency relief to family members, friends, or other carers. Carers can often feel overwhelmed when looking after NDIS participants with high needs. Through NDIS disability transport in Melbourne, we ensure that individuals requiring respite can safely attend respite centres or care locations without stress.

School Holiday Activities

School holidays should be a fun time for children, but we understand that COVID-19 has altered people's ability to access many locations safely. However, CDSS can still offer safe support to children at home or in other locations considered safe. Through NDIS travel assistance, we provide safe and reliable community transport for NDIS participants, ensuring they can participate in engaging activities during school breaks.

Other CDSS Supports

We offer a wide range of additional supports, including personal care, social activities/community participation, purchasing everyday items, development of daily living and life skills, and building confidence and independence. We ensure that transport support for people with disabilities is available so that participants can fully engage in their activities, whether it be attending therapy, shopping, or social events.

COVID-19 Matters

When one of our staff members develops symptoms of COVID-19, such as a fever, dry cough, or tiredness, they are immediately removed from any support work delivered by CDSS and required to get tested. If a CDSS staff member tests positive for COVID-19, they are asked to self-isolate, and any individuals who may have been in contact are immediately informed and advised to get tested. For participants requiring safe NDIS travel support for community activities, we take all necessary precautions to provide safe and sanitised NDIS transport solutions.

We aim to support and enhance the lives of those needing assistance.
